I wanted to add these other two photos that I edited today. I used a new fliter and wanted to see how I liked it...and I love it! :)

Today I got to photograph little Lera, she is absolutely adorable! She did an amazing job and next month when she turns 1 we are going to do a cake photo session! I can't wait!!! Today I decided to edit in CS4, wow was it hard to get used to!!! But, I can definitely say I like it more and more every time I use it!

Today, I did a photo shoot for Delaynie. She is so easy to photograph, and is just to stinkin' cute! I won't tell you my favorite but she's so fair that I like her in B&W better. These head shots are for a photogenic competition so I can't do too much editing, but I do have one where I went a little crazy, I'll post that one later~ :)

69 degrees!!!

It is such a beautiful day outside today, so Jaemen wanted to play outside, and I thought what a good time to play with my shutter speed!!! :) I had fun, so did he, he's such a delight! :)

Dance, Studio. Hailey...

Hailey would dance and be in front of the camera all day long if we'd let her, so here she is doing her two favorite things in the world...She's been working on these poses or whatever they are's...lol All I know is she has the freaking longest legs ever! And not from me...lol....I had to edit them a little dark as I wanted them to be a little more modest than what they were looking like with color...lol you get what I mean...

Black and White...

Since I've decided to only shoot in Manual setting I've found that I've been able to really capture every essence of the pictures I'm taking. Now, that being said, I can shoot outside in Manual, to me that's easy, I get it, I'm used to it...etc. Now, shooting inside is a totally different picture...It's hard, and I have to use the flash and figuring out the external flash and how I should angle it is hard. And I don't like the look of a flash...Here's a few pics I snagged of Jaemen as he unloaded all his toys and clothes from his room this afternoon. I had to use a flash on these...Not such a fan...






And now back to my natural light...ahhhhhh much better!!!!

Yep, I love Sepia...I'm trying to get away from it but, I JUST CANT...lol

Here's yesterday's pic just a little different edit...

Today, I spent most of the day with my lovely daughter at dance for pictures for her team. She really surprises me every day with the amount of dedication she has and how strong she it. Girls can be mean...REALLY mean, and today Hailey handled herself amongst some of her friends in a way that really made me proud. She's had such a tough time this year at dance with her friendships and who she thought were her friends, and who for some reason aren't being the nicest to her...but, alas that is girls for ya! She feels very alone, and has even not wanted to go to dance because of this but, today after she was ignored she didn't cry, she didn't complain. She held her head high and moved on. I'm so proud of her... I was glad that I was there today to be able to help her through this hard time and to see how far she's come...I'm proud of you baby girl!!!

Remember when?

Remember when I told you my husband thinks I use too much Sepia...well here's another example of how much I'm drawn to the "Sepia" type of editing. I think I'm going to finally dive into PhotoShop...the editing software I'm using is Light Room and it's just not getting me where I want to be...So, on to find a class...lol

Manual...

Well today, I decided to venture out into the Manual setting world on my camera...YIKES, is this scary!!! LOL It's so hard to have to have complete control of how your camera works...Manual just basically means that I control Aperture, ISO speed and shutter speed. WOW is that a lot to remember!!! So, here's my first picture I took in manual...completely unedited! I don't think it was to bad, but I had a lot of natural light and a still client...lol

Here's the edited version...Judah says I use sepia too much. And I've noticed when I've started watching other people's blogs that color is what I enjoy and black and white second. I also don't like it when I see photo's to altered. I like simplicity... my tastes are definitely changing.


And here's an edited picture of the boy's it's a little out of focus but hey, I'm learning...

Beautiful Weekend...

Since I have so many pictures to put up I decided to get a photo blog as well as my family blog. So, I can talk about my photography. I know that we have the business blog, but sometimes, I just want to post pics that I took of the kids or just random things that don't pertain to our business :)
